Foil-Grip 1403 is a UL 181B-FX listed, pressure-sensitive, 40-year cycle, duct joint and general-purpose rolled mastic sealant tape ideal for use in colder temperatures. It has superior tack and provides an instant water-resistant and air-tight grip on sheet metal duct, flexible air duct, and PVC-coated duct. The foil facer/butyl adhesive composite provides excellent UV resistance coupled with outstanding water resistance. Easily cut with scissors, it provides fast installation to achieve airtight seals. Unlike thinner mil products such as acrylic tape, this 17-mil mastic tape can cover surface imperfections in metal work, seal around screws without tearing, and maintain a tight seal across angle changes. Foil-Grip 1403 is designed to seal ductwork in installations, change outs and retrofit applications and is also suitable on PVC coated duct in below grade applications.
